Potty Training

Logan is potty trained! It took him a week but he got it!! Three days of NO accidents. I love not having to change a diaper. I can't believe how big he is getting. No more babies for me, it is a little bittersweet.

Pre-k

Hailey is officially in school. She started Pre-k this morning. I had the joy of joining her, of what fun to be clung to as if life depended on it. At home she is a chatty cathy, can't get her to sit still, listen or STOP talking, take her to school and she is shy and quiet. Hard for people to believe that she is outgoing and bubbly at home!! So tommarrow she is on her own. I wish her teacher lots of luck!! I know she will do fine, she just needs sometime to warm up.

Texting

I am moving up in the world of technology!! I am learning how to text. It is a big step for me. I'm pretty anti-technology. It is been a hoot texting back and forth to Jer in the same room!! It is on a trial basis, so I will wait to form my opinion about it for a few weeks.

So I have failed as a Blogger!!!! I really enjoy reading other people's blogs, but feel like i'm not exciting enough to write all the time.
Kylie's last day of Pre-k is on tues. I can't believe she is already done with her first year of school! Next year Hailey enters Pre-k, Kylie will be in Kindergarten and Logan will finally enjoy some mom only time!!
We had a fun weekend. We took the kids fishing. They love to fish! Sadly we didn't catch any(I wasn't disappointed, I don't like eating fish). We also took Grandpa Great along, it was special to watch him with the kids. Love that man :)
So i'm off for now....no promises on being better, but I will try.

Death is not the end

What do you say to someone who is dying. A dear friend that has been in pain for several years, decided that he didn't want to suffer anymore. Of course the selfish part of us is sad, we don't want them leave us. It is sad for us to love them and let them go. His name is Ron, he is such a special man to our family,.I know that he will be waiting for us on the other side with open arms. Death is not the ending, and we find peace in knowing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Terrible two's

The terrible two's have hit our house in the fom of a cute litle boy. He can be so sweet and fun, but get him going and he is one grumpy little guy. I am trying to remain patient through the screaming, but sometimes I want to scream too!!! I know it will pass, and we all have our moments, his are just louder than I care for him to be.

It is a new year

O.k. so it is a new year and i'm going to give the blogging thing another try. The last six monthes have been long and at times challenging! Jer has been working out of town, leaving on Sunday afternoons and returning Thursday evenings. During this time he was also called as the 2nd counselor in the Bishopric. We are blessed that in this time of economic uncertainty that he has a job. Luckily we have paid our dues and this will be his last full week out of State. The kids and I will all be grateful to have him as part of the family again!!

Princess Aurora

It has been one busy summer for us. We bought a parrot. The girls named her princess Aurora. She is very attatched to Jeremy. She loves to scream, so it is like having a fourth child!! She also does some cool noises. She whistles, and does this train horn sound. She also speaks a few words. We have really enjoyed having her as the newest addition to our family.

New yard

We now have beautiful sod in the front yard and back! It has been a long wait, but it is finally looking beautiful. Next year will be the first year that we have had grass for both the front and back. The backyard used to be a dirt pit, fun for the kids, not so fun for me.

Preschool

Kylie started preschool a few weeks ago. She is really loving it. Hailey is having the hardest time when we drop her off to her class. She wants to stay and go to school too. She is geting better about it. She likes that she is the big girl of the house while Kylie is at school.

It has been awhile. We are all doing good. Jer has been gone a lot for work. He has been working on a church remodel in Wyoming. Hopefully he is done up there for awhile!!

We are SOOOOO excited!! Jer started his new job on Monday. So far it is going well. He is adjusting after his 6 month vacation. I think he misses his Soap Operas :) It's a little wierd not having him home everyday.

Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day :)
Another fun day with the family lots of Yummy food!! We are so blessed to live in this Country and have so much. The In-laws came up to celebrate with us. The girls taught Grandmahow to play Princess Yahtzee. Turned out to be sunny with a few sprinkles. We haven't had too much sun lately. It has been nice not to have to water the front yard and garden!! Then again too much time with the kids stuck in the house, bring SUMMER back!!

New niece

We have a NEW niece!! She was born last night. Releigh Marie Witham, 8lbs, 19 1/2in long.

Idaho

After we came back from Moab we took a two day break and then headed to Shelly, Idaho. We camped in there back yard. (We told the kids we were like Lehi and his family in the wilderness) We went to Idaho to visit some friends, Sean and Judy. The girls loved riding the horses. On Memorial Day we went to Yellowstone. It was a beautiful day to go, not too hot or cold. We were able to see a herd of bufalo and 11 babies. The girls could have sat all day watching them, they were so fascinated. We also watched Old Faithful errupt, and experienced the sights and smells of the various places. It was a nice relaxing trip, but i'm done with camping for awhile.

Moab

Our trip to Moab was fun and short. On the way down we stopped in Price, Utah to visit the Dinosaur museum. When Hailey saw one of the skulls she said "Somebody lost there head" She was a little concerned!! I tried to explain that it didn't need it anymore!!! Kids say funny things. They especially enjoyed digging in the dirt to discover fossils.
After the museum we headed to Moab...................
The drive was beautiful!! Once we found our campsite, it was time to get to work and unload. We made dutch oven meatloaf and played some baseball with the kids. It was stinking HOT!! The wind started to pick up, and man did it blow. I thought we were going to all blow away!! It never stopped!! The kids slept like rocks, but Jer and I didn't get any sleep at all.
The next morning we were up bright and early, NOT by choice! Couldn't ignore Logan's screaming with him so close. Jer made us a yummy breakfast. I do love camping food! Then we were off to Arches National Park. The views were amazing!! I took lots of pictures, too many to ever post!! We didn't do any hiking, the kids weren't in any mood. With all the driving, they were done!! We headed back to have lunch and pack up camp. Jer decided his back couldn't handle another night of no sleep!! After we packed up we headed to the nearby lake. The girls bothered Jer since we got to Moab to go fishing. We couldn't let the Princess and Dora poles go unused!!. They love when Jer takes them fishing. Hope Logan loves fishing as much as the girls do. We were heading away from the Lake and it started to rain. We were so glad that we were on our way home!! It is always nice to be back in your own bed!!
So it was quick, but we still had fun!!

Fun Weekend

It has been a fun weekend. Jer and I got to go out on a date friday night (it's about time!) We went to dinner and a Peter Brienholt concert. So fun!!! On saturday we invited a couple to go with us to Savior of the World. Our stake and three others joined in to make this happen. They did a great job. I appreciate all the time and talent that went into that. Two nights kids free, wow that was amazing!!! We don't get to do that often, I did miss them!! Then today- Mother's Day. What a beautiful day, the sun was shinning!!! My kids drew me pictures. Jer made me a scrapbook page of the kids, he did a really good job on it!! We finally got Kylie to get up on the stand and sing with the Primary. It was a pround moment to see her all grown up. Maybe next time Hailey will be brave enough to go too!! After a yummy dinner we went for a bike ride on the Jordan River trail. The kids were able to see ducks and lots of birds. It was such a beautiful ride!! So altogether a fun day!!

My brother in law came over to visit today. We were talking while the kids were out playing in the front yard. Then Kylie comes in "mommy I found a shell!!" I was thinking--- what? We don't have any shells. So she holds her hand out to me. It was actually bird poop!! I told her "that isn't a shell that is bird poop, gross, go wash your hands!!" She looked so disappointed. My brother in and I couldn't help it, we started laughing so hard.

Doctors Office

So we are off to the Doctor again. Seems like I should have stock in the medical industry, we are always in there for something!! Kylie has a rash that will not go away, i'm thinking it is nothing major but Jer isists we have her checked out. Better safe than sorry.
